When our volunteers arrived at this lady’s door with a fresh food kit, she was moved to tears of pure relief. These were tears of joy because she realized she was not alone in her struggle.
This simple bag of groceries represents much more than just a few days of nutrition. It provides the deep comfort of knowing that someone still cares about her life and her well-being. In fact, she told our team that she had been praying for help just before our volunteers knocked. Consequently, our visit restored her strength and her faith in the kindness of others. For instance, the kit included essential items like grains, oil, and canned goods to keep her healthy during the winter.
