Last week was another impactful period for Hope for Ukraine as we continued our mission to provide essential support to communities affected by the ongoing conflict. Our dedicated volunteers and partners worked tirelessly across various regions, delivering much-needed aid and bringing hope to those in need. Here’s a recap of our activities from May 13 to 19.
In Kriviy Rih, our volunteers distributed food and hygiene products to 130 families, ensuring they had the basic necessities to sustain their daily lives. Additionally, we provided food, hygiene products, and clothing to 160 internally displaced families, helping them cope with their difficult circumstances. This assistance was crucial in alleviating some of the hardships faced by these families.
In the Kherson region, our efforts focused on the elderly. Our volunteers delivered emergency care packages to 150 seniors, providing them with essential supplies to help them through these challenging times. Furthermore, we delivered food kits to 150 families in the region, emphasizing our belief that hope begins with a meal.
Our commitment to supporting those on the frontlines remained strong. Volunteers delivered essential supplies to defenders, ensuring they had the necessary resources to continue their efforts. Additionally, we prepared canned meats to feed people in frontline towns, demonstrating our ongoing support for those directly affected by the conflict.
In Kharkiv, 80 families received food kits and hygiene products, which were essential in maintaining their health and well-being. Meanwhile, in the Dnipro region, our partner prepared a delicious dinner for internally displaced individuals, providing not just nourishment but also a sense of community and care.
Exciting developments also took place in the Kirovograd region, where new furniture arrived for our newly renovated after-school program classroom. Children eagerly awaited the opportunity to return and start learning again in their new space, highlighting our commitment to supporting education and providing safe learning environments.
