Yuriy Boyechko

Founder & Chief Executive Officer | Hope for Ukraine

Yuriy Boyechko is the Founder and CEO of Hope for Ukraine. Since launching the organization in 2016—and particularly in response to the full-scale invasion in 2022—he has demonstrated strong leadership in mobilizing critical humanitarian aid across some of Ukraine’s most devastated regions. Under his guidance, Hope for Ukraine has delivered essential resources such as food, medical supplies, shelter, clean water, and solar power solutions to communities in crisis.

He is also the author of the upcoming book Defiant Hope: Ordinary Lives, Extraordinary Courage, and the Fight for Ukraine (Berrett-Koehler Publishers / Penguin Random House), which captures powerful first-person stories of civilian resistance and resilience on the front lines.

Born and raised in Ukraine, Yuriy earned his Master’s degree in Media Communication from Regent University in 2005. Driven by a deep personal connection to his homeland and a calling to lead meaningful change, he transitioned into full-time humanitarian work. Yuriy Boyechko is a member of the Forbes Nonprofit Council, Yuriy brings a results-driven, compassionate approach to leadership—ensuring every container shipped, generator delivered, and life touched serves to restore hope and rebuild communities.
