Roseland, NJ – August 1, 2025 — As the war in Ukraine continues to displace millions, thousands of families are left without even basic clothing. Children are arriving at shelters in pajamas. Seniors have no winter coats. Mothers share one blanket between several children. In response, Hope For Ukraine is calling on supporters to take action: donate to Ukraine charity efforts by sending urgently needed clothes.
On the ground, volunteers are seeing heartbreaking scenes. “A mother arrived with three children and only one jacket,” said an HFU coordinator in Chernihiv. “She wrapped it around her youngest and hoped for help.”
Through its clothing donation program, Hope For Ukraine is delivering jackets, shoes, baby items, and other essential garments to frontline families. Whether in Sumy, Kharkiv, or Dnipro, these donations bring more than warmth — they restore dignity and comfort to people who have lost everything.
Supporters are encouraged to send new or gently used items such as winter coats, sweaters, gloves, scarves, children’s and baby clothing, shoes, socks, and blankets. Hope For Ukraine’s clothing drive is part of a broader response that includes food distributions through the Family Support Project and aid coordination through their mobile app. With new waves of displacement continuing each week, the need for warm clothing and basic supplies is urgent and growing.
“In moments of trauma, even a pair of clean socks or a warm coat can remind someone they’re not forgotten,” said HFU Founder Yuriy Boyechko. “That’s why we urge anyone able to donate to Ukraine charity programs like ours — because it truly changes lives.”
