As the school break draws to a close and the start of the school year approaches, we reflect on the impact of our summer camps for children in Ukraine. In the midst of ongoing conflict, it has been more important than ever to provide a sense of normalcy and joy to the lives of children living in both small villages and large cities across the country. Working closely with our partners all across Ukraine, we have strived to ensure that many children get the opportunity to enjoy their summer vacation, despite the turmoil surrounding them. These camps offer not only a respite from the challenges they face daily but also a chance to learn, grow, and create happy memories that will last a lifetime.
However, the task is not a simple one. The war has left scars both visible and invisible on the landscape and its people.
